* "Spider Woman" if it makes you think of comic books, then I honestly don't know. I never know with Dada. There was a Kumoonna on Kamen Rider...and. There was also a silly movie called "Kumoonna" about a family of women living in Kamiya who turned into spiders at night and made their male prey into spiders too or ate them or something. For those who like internet flash, one of the lines "Kanren shite kudasai yo" sounds a lot like the Comadore Perry flash "Kaikoku shite kudasai yo"...and btw Japan really is a closed off, prejudiced society and Perry was right in a way (Neo Liberalist? XD).
* known to a few English speakers as the "carrot and stick method." Basically work someone really hard and then praise them afterwards

In the Newgrave magazine vol. 5, Dada said he had no idea "Velvet
Eden" was the name of a banned early 20th century French porn book.
But after watching some movies, translating his interviews and songs,
seeing the demo tape covers, and talking to people, I find this very hard
to believe. This song is about sado masochism. And Madame may be a drag
queen/new half.
