Puppets can be used to symbolize rebirth, although I've forgotten exactly why...something about Buddha.
I love this song ^^ it's the only one from Merveilles that I bothered to go look up the lyrics for when I first heard it,
which also means my translation of it has been flavored by someone else's. I should probably give her credit.
Her name is Helena Yan and she has a nice translations site (I don't know her at all by the way).
