Still Doll

music: Mana, Lyrics: Kanon Wakeshima

Hi Miss Alice
What kind of dream
can you see
with glass eyes?
Become entranced?
Again I,
my heart will shatter
and spill forth
All of its memories
Sticking in the gaps
that had been patched up

Hi Miss Alice
Anata wa gurasu no me de
donna yume o
mirareru no?
miirareru no?
mata atashi
kokoro ga sakete
nagarederu
tsukurotta
sukima ni sasaru
kiokutachi

Hi Miss Alice
Who are you
Throwing love out to
With a candied mouth?
Are you greiving?
Already I,
the fervor of the tongue
that spun those tales
Has gone cold
And I can't sing even the songs
Which I so adore

Hi Miss Alice
anata kajitsu no kuchi de
dare ni ai o
nageteiru no?
nageite iru no?
mou atashi
kotoba o tsumugu
shita no netsu
samekitte
mederu outa mo

Kanon's explanation of her song (from her HP):

The main character in this song is a little girl, and I wrote this song with the image that the girl is talking to her beloved doll. It's filled with something like the nothingness of an empty heart after sadness and lonliness have passed. An empty heart like that of the doll's heart. But emotion still rises up in the girl about her doll, and I wrote this filled with the idea of the earnestness that wells up from that, and of her love for the doll.

So this was the ending song to "Vampire Knights" the animu (in which she also did the voice of one of the maids)
And yeah, Mana is indeed producing Kanon. She's not under Midi-Nette though, but a division of Sony music.
And I just translated this for the fun of it.. still trying to figure out what this whole connection to Alice and love is.
