kanji names/ lyrics: Mimori Yusa
Hidden
away in his house surrounded by the tall trees
There's a man who is living there all alone
He's doing his researching, it's some strange thing or
another
At least that's how rumor goes

On
his head a felt hat, on his eyes are wire glasses
On the wall a half-broken hanging clock tolls
Meandering down the street he's know to hum or whistle
Trudging on his evening strolls

Meanwhile
the wind blows
Through the hilly roads
Right through the streets it blows!

And right next to that research room if you look through
the window
to the clubroom that lies on the other wall
The photos on the mantleplace are old and torn and yellow
Who could be the person with the bright, happy smile?
Tell me, who's the person with the bright, happy smile?

On his arm a silver cat, and on shoulder a black cat
With their eyes glowing, glittering as they glare
They like none besides him, he has 24 just like them
and those little cats are all

The light's started rising
From the old courtyard
Look how it's rising now!

Hidden away by the grass in neglect the old mailbox
Beneath the night moon makes a single sound
It's a bright white envelope, in it a tiny letter
But who could have sent such a thing, I wonder now?
Who could have sent him such thing, I do wonder now?

When the Christmas season comes, and New Years Day rolls
around
When he's having his tea after his said strolls,
He'll never phone up company, never phoned by somebody
Were he to, they'd still not come at all

Stars start to rain down
Through the tree branches
Look at them raining down!

The flasken bottles lined upon the windowsill stand tall
As they gather the droplets falling from the moon
And when the blue-hued droplets turn to tea and boil
I wonder who it is who will be ringing the bell?
Tell me, who's the person who'll be ringing the bell?

These lyrics are from Mimori Yusa's
best album, Harmoniodeon. When I first heard her I liked
her enough, but after I heard this album I truly began
to love her works. Her voice is beautiful on this particular
album, moreso than on anything else she's ever done.
Unfortunately (fortunately?), her hat
in this album is also the silliest she's ever had too
XD When she was younger she always had these weird hats
shaped like marshmallows, or lampshades, or mixing bowls
or just...lumps....with pom-poms, feathers, and whatnot
sticking out from them. And that is also why I love her
works. One must not underestimate the power of "hat".
