Gackt
might like Shinhwa, specifically Lee Minwoo's style. Don't hold me
to it or anything, just go watch "Yo!" and look at a few pictures,
and then compare it to Gackt's newer stuff and decide for yourself.
Mana's all
sound strangely reminiscent of some of his earlier stuff, Bara no Seido,
or Amadeus's "Kyozo no Kami." And they all got the same drum
beats. And, aside from that, he is using very common occult symbols, like
the horns over his chair in one of those pictures of him, Juka, and Kaya.
And everything else. No originality! So I made a poem while I was brushing
my teeth this morning *cause I do that*...
Why I'm My Own Prince, Especially Now
The lead singer doesn't have a face, the guitarist
never changed,
The other one....s pretty cool I guess; he still is terribly strange
The drummer, he simply went away, of the basist not much to say
And the only guy I've ever thought hot, has kind of stated he's gay.
I'm gonna paint creepy Dali-like paintings of them
all once I get better with art. I've already dreamt them and everything.
So there.
Kozi doth
listen to Billy Joel. If you need proof, go listen to "Pressure"
In the Malice Mizer sur le tv thingie I downloaded,
I noticed that at one point someone slashes their hand with a knife, and
at the end they have "fin" written on the screen. This is extremely
similar to Mylene Farmer's "Sans Logique" music video. The cover
to the single has her with bloody tears, like in the Bel Aire pv too,
and the beginning to the instrumental on their music video collection
sounds almost exactly like "Pas le Temps de Vivre." Kozi's claw/finger
things could technically have also been from "Comme J'ai Mal."
Aside from that, in one of their earlier concerts, like back in the Tetsu
era, they actually played Sans Logique as the first song. And then their
first song was kind of named that too...and this is only from listening
to two of her songs and seeing a couple music videos...
It's Poodle-man! When they were casting for Illuminati
they were obviously quite selective. Watch carefully when all the people
are standing around Gackt and you may get a glimpse of the illusive Poodle-man.
He is in the back, on the right...this is a prime example of Gackt humor,
for those of you who have never seen him at his best. At least I think
it's humor.
"Papa lapped a pap lopped" could actually
be "paw plapped the paw plopped" and then the song would be
about kitties or a tiger lady. Just like "LEMONed I scream"
sounds like "lemonaide ice cream." You know? (Although I think
LEMONed was a collection of weird things Hide found around the place)
It is possible Malice has lied about everything
they've ever been asked. Mana said he was very good at cooking, yet after
Gackt had known him for over 2 years he still didn't know what kind of
food he liked. "Um, French food?...I really don't know." That
aside it is a little hard to believe that no one would have revealed their
names or ages by now if they had told the truth about where they grew
up.
I've seen a bunch of pictures with the Mizers and
this random kid, like the SAME random kid. Why?! Although it could be
that all Japanese kids look alike deep down I guess...j/k...
Mana has
some pretty blatant obsessions: curry, vampires, being wierd and the like.
However, one of the more interesting, and probably often overlooked, is
his interest in "Paradise", a movie which I plan to see at some
point. I haven't yet because the AMV doesn't have it so I'll have to get
it from the library (the AMV is the store at which I work). I'm not that
interested though so it might take a while before I can explain what it's
about. So far he's mentioned it at least three times in my small collection
of magazines, so it's pretty safe to say it's important. If one were to
take an interest in understanding Mana it would probably be beneficial
to check it out.
Kozi is
just a big, loveable twit. The reason he's so hard to understand is because
he...
1) endlessly makes puns
2) skaeps sdrawkcab
3) se-zu shinguzu en rerachiburi gu-do engurisu batto raitsu temu en kana
4) and just says really strange things that don't always make sense anyhow,
among others
Gackt really
has posed for nudie magazines (a lot of other celebrities have too). It
subtracts a certain I don't know from his overall interest factor in my
opinion. He also takes on attributes from the people he's around at the
time he's around them. Whatever will make him popular. But more importantly
he seems to be searching for something or someone, which would explain
why he's doing everything he can to make himself more famous. It'll be
interesting to see how it turns out. To all the Gakkun fans out there,
if I'm right and he is searching for someone, good luck! ^^
I don't
think Gackt can speak french or english too well. However his Chinese
is really good, according to my friend he sounds like a "knight":
very aristocratic.
Gackt's dance from Mizerable is actually a Kung
Fu pose called the "half horse". To copy it just stand with
your legs a little more than shoulder length apart and twist your right
foot in to face your other foot. Then get jiggy with it by leaning back
and bouncing your upper body in strange directions. You'll look just like
him.
Gackt doesn't seem to write his own songs anymore.
Another World was for all purposes that "Josie and the Pussycat's"
song...I thought someone had translated it into Japanese the first time
I heard him sing it. He has also taken clips from La Cryma Christi (In
Forest), Malice, Kenshin, possibly Dir en Grey, and countless others.
Taking stuff from classical music is one thing because it is cultured
for some reason, but I dunno. I personally don't agree with this. He has
been complaining about his deadlines though...
