IS IT LOORVE AND Y@OI???11!!?
Most likely not. However, this does seem to be quite the question. I
hope never to find out because it doesn't really matter to me and touching
is yucky. Besides, it's none of my business. However, everyone seems to
have thoughts on the matter so if mine are of any interest to you I present
them and all that jazz *all that jazz..tee hee hee. that's a funny phrase,
that is. I hate it*
First off Yuuki X anyone is out of the question.
The other members will tease him at times but that's the extent to which
anything can be said on that. He just doesn't strike me as the type to
really be in a relationship, actually, and we've all heard about that
naughty anime tape thing...
Klaha X anyone's also pretty weird because, well, it's Klaha for
goodness sakes. I think he's above all that, and too professional to ever
get involved with a band member. That usually means utter failure and
impending doom.
Kami will not be wondered about out of respect for
his personage.
I don't know much about Tetsu but I'd doubt it. Similarly, Kozi X Gackt
is not plausible.
Kozi X Mana
That leaves Mana, which is where most of the controversy appears to be.
I'm not a big fan of the Mana X Kozi theory simply because there's never
been any evidence to support it...well, there might be if you actually
take Kozi seriously, but that's not a good idea. They've just got some
common interests and probably have a bunch to talk about. Besides, from
what I've actually been able to understand from Kozi he's pretty whacked
up and strange, and some of the things he says make me laugh. That's friend
material, not love interest material. But then that's simply a person
bias and a weak argument (he reminds me of my chihuahua-kun), so think
what you will.
Gackt X Mana
At first I scoffed at this one too but if you look closely the two of
them could have felt something for one another. I don't count the fan
service because that was simply for the audience's benefit and I don't
think Mana, at least, liked doing it. Here's what I've noticed.
First off there is Gackt's appearance. He's put on some weight since he
left Malice, and he had mentioned before that he ate basically seaweed
and onigiri filling for lunch while he was in the band. I've also noticed
my friends lost weight when they were in relationships. Although I read
somewhere that making out is suppose to burn 335 or so calories per hour
I don't think that's the reason they got that way. When you love someone
you want to look your best for them, right? Mana likes very thin people.
He mentioned in an interview that he thinks Mitsukazu's dolls* are attractive,
and they're pretty much walking skeletons. So Gackt was anorexic. For
Mana-chan maybe? The world will never know. (Sorry, I've started thinking
lolipops.) Gackt's also gotten quite tan in comparison to his original
complexion. Mana likes pale skin.
In one of his videos Gackt chose the dress that the lead female actor
wore, and it was white and kinda floaty. Mana-ish...
Next, you can tell from the pictures that were taken of them that they're
pretty close. I wish I had some interview footage so I could try reading
their body language, since pictures are all set up anyway. But in one
of the pictures Gackt's poking Mana. They obviously had a good relationship
at that point or he wouldn't be doing that. He might also have been dead
by now, as Mana does not seem like the type to be poked. That's not all
that important but it was just so adorable that I had to mention it.
Gackt tries not to smile in public, but when Mana runs over and glomps
him in "Brise" he really does get this kinda goofy little grin.
That's right before he does the little eyebrow "whatever" thing
and stops rather abruptly.
This is where I get real hardcore. In interviews Gackt has mentioned his
ideal woman...his sister -_-
...but he has also said other things. His ideal women would
1) not talk much
2) wear whatever she felt like, basically be individualistic
3) be either extremely smart...
4) ...or extremely foolish.
I don't mean this as an insult, but Mana appears to be all of those at
the same time. And Gackt is one of those rare people who doesn't really
concern himself with gender (did anyone catch the guy in the Illuminati
video?) so for him everything is done regardless of gender. I've also
taken tracing paper to pictures of Mana and he can be relatively cute
without make-up on.
Now Mana, on principle, usually doesn't say much of anything during interviews.
He has a specific talent for bringing the subject back to curry and discussing
that for half a page or simply avoiding certain questions all together.
He never commits to much of anything unless it relates to Malice. That's
why his personal life's so mysterious, because he always finds ways not
to talk about it. However he does like games. He also feels that trust
and understanding are very important. I can't think of anyone who would
understand him better than Gackt would, and Gackt seems to like games
too.
Lastly their music began to become almost popish for the Voyage era, which
is the first one they did with Gackt. Apres Midi, from my impression of
it, was this close *pinches thumb and forefinger together* to being a
sappy love ballad. Even the music was almost...happy. I'd say someone
was in looove...when Gackt left the band he was also apparently distraught
because he went and wrote a lot of melancholy songs that had a very Malice
feel to them. I swear the last line he whispers in Illness Illusion is
"Oh I just wanna die...". Mizerable (the name's simply french,
nothing there) uses similar chord progressions to one of the songs on
Voyage and I've had my thoughts on "EMU~for my dear" for quite
some time now, as to who it might be about.
And this wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention that Mana's slave girl
from the Illuminati video looked almost exactly like Gackt from the back.
Mana X Mana
The most obvious of them all. The lyrics to Speed of Desperate (as posted
and translated by Kurai, whom I worship) are...
"Kagami ni utsuru jibun o kokoro no soko kara
aishite iru"
Which means something like "I love the me
in the mirror from the depths of my heart." Now let me tell
you a story.
Once there was a man named Pygmalion. He was a misogynist, which means
that he pretty much hated women. One of the reasons he disliked them so
much was because he found them flawed. One day he sculpted the perfect
woman and fell in love with her. The end, at least that's all that is
relevant for this.
Mana's not a sculptor, but he does make clothes and play with make-up
a lot. Oh yeah, and he cross dresses. He could have easily fallen in love
with himself as a woman, I mean, everyone else has...
And that, my dears, is how I think it really is. Mana loves himself.
No yaoi. Sorry.
