Um...I
see influences from "Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai Suru"
in this one too...but then I see a lot of things that aren't
true sometimes. I think.
"jitsu
o tsukeru" is an interesting phrase...there's a saying:
"even
the most ugly plant can have beautiful blooms."
There's
actually this saying about cherry trees that the blossoms
are pink because every cherry tree sprang up and was fed
from a dead person's blood. It's the death in beauty, the
beauty in death, and the realization that behind every happiness
there is fear or pain. At least that's my interpretation.
When
I was in high school we had this conversation once which
turned to "is beastiality okay?" And my school
being what it was, which was weird, one boy naturally raised
his hand and replied, "only if they're dead, because
in order for it to be okay you need consent or it is just
rape, and animals can't talk. But if they're dead animals
then it's fine because they're not going to say no regardless."
His name was Sam, and he had a deep voice. So for about
a year after that people would go around saying,
"I am Saaaammm and I like dead animalssss"
...Every other school has ghosts, strange disappearances,
pandas that eat children...and we just had Sam who liked
dead animals...I miss high school.
Other
than that, I think this is close to the SS ideology in a
way, obviously. But it's funny, how I really can't see the
other person in this as anything but a man...
