Thickly scorched, the scent of the night begins to decend
It brings the thunder to its roll, the flowers of my farewell
to bloom
To
the power lying deep within me, upon you I call!
Cry out! Roar till you're hoarse
Reflect my seething soul

Kasha
- according to story this is a demon that made a lot of
appearances in the Western part of Japan such as Izumo and
Satsuma, and from time to time in the East as well.
It happened that sometimes during funerals there would be
a sudden gail, which would grow in intensity until it became
fierce enough to knock those in the funeral procession over.
It would then whisk the casket from their shoulders and
go so far as to take to cover off the top. In times like
these they would say [the corpse] had been "caught
by the Kasha", and it would be a cause of great anger
and mortification, for folk legend stated that this was
the doing of the Kasha, which would come if the person had
committed a large number of sins during their life to carry
them off to Hell.
Originally it would appear from time in Buddhism texts as
"Ingakiyou", but there are many more mentions
of "being caught by the Kasha", as per the Japanese
version. The story was not limited to funerals however,
and there still remain occasional stories of ordinary days
where an old woman, abhored by everybody, would state her
intention to go to the lavatory and upon stepping outside
would be confronted by a a black cloud that would suddenly
swoop down from the sky and carry her away. But this cloud
is also at times referred to as Mouryou, another beast,
and it seems that the "mouryou" and "kasha"
were thought of as the same class of demon.
In addition, there is a soul that resides in every person,
and we call the state of being where this soul has left
the body and can never return again "death", and
there are some who believe this demon is an evil spirit
that attempts to invade the flesh of the people whose souls
it takes to the sky and live in their stead.

...omg.
Way to get rid of your old ladies XD
Kaya
said in one of his interviews that he really likes the idea
of this demon, and seems to have created his own representation
of it from the different stories he's heard. There are the
traditional stories, but then it also appears he's mixed
it with the imagery of an actual train (it reminds me of
"Night Train to the Milky Way"~).
My
personal favorite demons are the Ame Onna, Kuchisake Onna,
and Hone Onna. Although my attraction to the Ame Onna could
just reflect how, because of her legend, I now know an antiquated,
obscure word for "the joining of two people in ecchi
actions"...
that makes me laugh.
And
that's the end of the minialbum. It seems that it ended
with Kaya throwing away all of his painful memories (again),
and confronting the sky and his past like he did in Walkure.
Only now he's doing so through a demon that eats dead, carries
them off to hell, or rids families of their obatarians...
Yeah. It's a cool demon *laughs*
